Moon's Sandwich Shop
Near-West-Side counter diner founded in 1933 by Anthony Gambino. The Radek family has run it since 1978; the shop is best known for its corned beef sandwich, with more than 500 sold a week. Five Moon's locations once operated; only Western Avenue remains. Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Governor J.B. Pritzker are among recent patrons.
