West Loop by season

Four seasons, four distinct paces. Patios and rooftops carry late spring through October; the Chicago Marathon defines fall; the Bulls / Blackhawks calendar and Restaurant Week define winter. Each season page links to the recurring anchors and the relevant year-round surfaces on WLV. Currently: Summer.

• Spring March – May Patios re-open, marathon training picks up, and Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off the dining year.
• Summer · now June – August Rooftop bars, Mary Bartelme mist arches, and the Pitchfork-festival spillover at Union Park drive the season.
• Fall September – November Marathon weekend is the peak; patios stay open through October; restaurant programming intensifies.
• Winter December – February Indoor dining peak, the Bulls/Blackhawks season at United Center, Chicago Restaurant Week, and a quieter neighborhood overall.
