Damen on the Green Line is the newest CTA L station, opening August 5, 2024, at Damen Avenue and Lake Street. It sits between the existing Ashland and California stations and provides a long-awaited stop in the northwest corner of the Fulton Market District, closer to the United Center than any other CTA L station.
Features a glass-covered pedestrian bridge that connects the inbound and outbound platforms with a view of the Chicago skyline.
Ridership trend. Damen opened August 5, 2024, so the 2024 ridership figure reflects only about five months of operation. Annual numbers will become comparable starting in 2025.
